Farewell, Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen Favourites

I said that I would focus on high street fashion and this is now my second rule-breaking post, but I had to acknowledge the sad news. As I’m sure you all know by now, Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home on Thursday.

The fashion world has, without a doubt, lost one of its greatest protagonists. I don’t think anyone in recent years has injected as much innovative energy in the industry as Alexander McQueen did. With his truly unique creations and poetic universe he was my favourite designer and I am very sad to see him go.

I recommend you watch the following video, a rare interview by Fashion Television.

You can also check out his most memorable moments as selected by Vogue, or the runway retrospective put together by Stylist.com.

R.I.P. Lee, and let’s hope you inspire many generations of designers.

Was so brilliant… very specific signature. There is nothing alike.
