Firetrap Sale at Brandalley

I have expressed my love for Brandalley before, but if you’re not familiar with the website, it organises flash sales and it’s a great place to find designer items at a lower price.

Brandalley is currently hosting a Firetrap sale, including a range of great dresses, most of them now around £20. Hurry though as the Firetrap sale ends this Sunday 23rd October. (Remember you will need to sign up before being able to access the sales or any of the links in this post)

My two favourites:

Firetrap Grunge Black Red Stripe Midi Jersey Dress

This dress is perfect if you’re looking to work the current grunge revival trend. I have ordered this one and will be teaming it with a black leather jacket and black leather biker boots.

Firetrap Black Embellished Ethnic Halterneck Maxi Dress

This dress is so effortlessly stylish it hurts. The way it drapes around the model’s frame is perfection and the embellishment at the neckline gives it just a little bit of edge that makes all the difference. Now, the weather might be a little too chilly to wear this dress right now, but it won’t go out of style and you’ll be wearing it all summer.

Polka Dots at Topshop

Topshop Polka Dots Spot Print JacketI had a look in Topshop earlier today and was pleased to see that their current collection features a lot of polka dots. My favourite piece was this jacket, which will look great teamed with an on-trend oversized clutch and tailored blue jeans or charcoal tapered trousers.

Black Patent Bow Shoes by HobbsLet me present you with my latest purchase – these adorable black patent shoes by Hobbs. I’d been looking for something similar for a while, but couldn’t find any that satisfied my high expectations. These are leather and excellent quality. As a matter of fact, if you are looking for chic, feminine workwear, Hobbs is a great place to check out during the sales.

Ethnic Chic by Plümo

Ethnic Chic Clothes and Accessories by Plümo

I am a huge fan of ethnic clothes for summer…you can’t help but feel like you’re on holiday when you’re wearing a Moroccan tunic, even if you’re stuck in London (as long as it’s sunny of course, which is just as rare as it sounds).

For a unique selection, I recommend you visit Plümo‘s website. The company specialises in high-quality ethnic-inspired clothes and accessories that you won’t find on the high street. They also sell beautiful pieces for the home.

Personal Favourites: Nautical But Nice

Key Summer Trend: Nautical Clothes and Accessories
I absolutely love, love, love a bit of nautical inspiration for the summer. It’s fun, fresh and flirty. Plus, it never goes out of style. Go for blue (preferably navy) and white stripes, Navy-inspired cuts and mix with a touch of red and anchor-shaped jewellery.

A modern take on the theme makes for an easy, fuss-free day-look, or you can channel your inner pin-up with retro-influenced pieces. If you go for the latter, try to stick to copper or gold-coloured accessories rather than silver.

Asymmetrical Nautical Print Silk Dress by Oasis £55.

Nautical Triangle Bikini Top and String Brief by Accessorize £18 and £14.

Vintage-style Anchor Necklace by ASOS £5.

White Bow, Red Canvas Ballerinas by Accessorize £20.

Personal Favourites : Polka Dots

Polka Dot Dresses at Oliver Bonas

I love polka dots. Whether it’s classic colour/cut combos —like this navy Emily and Fin dress— for a bit of retro va-va-voom, or a more modern and fresher version of the trend —like this Jarlo pink tea dress.

Both dresses are available at Oliver Bonas for £49 and £59, respectively.
